Threshold Installation at Grane Mill, Rossendale, May 2026

The full series of Threshold and other related works was installed at Grane Mill and displayed to the public over the course of a weekend.

The current Grane Mill was formed from two earlier mills along the route taken by the Weavers’ Uprising of 1826. Now undergoing restoration by a team of volunteers, the mill holds power looms of the types attacked by weavers which are now undergoing painstaking repair. The installation involved complex planning and construction to site works amongst mill machinery, working closely with the team of volunteer engineers.
