From November 19-22, you'll find Bury Art Museum at Manchester Central on stand 115, showcasing individual work from 2 artists, Peter Davis and Mike Kelly.
This follows the 2025 Bury Art Museum OPEN where both Peter and Mike were awarded prizes by the OPEN judges.
Mike Kelly @mikeakelly.work is based in Rossendale, on the edge of the Pennine moors. His work is grounded in a deep engagement with landscape and across different series explores meaning, memory and the persistence of nature. Through printing and construction techniques that often disrupt perception, the work asks what can be seen and understood, both from the traces left by previous generations and from the environment itself.
Peter Davis @peterdavis_art is a Manchester-based fine artist, painting contemporary portraits that tell stories about our time. His artwork invites reflection and encourages viewers to reconsider their preconceptions and see the world from another person’s perspective. They explore themes including mental health, race, gender, ageing and technology addiction. Earlier this year, “The Future is Female and She’s Black” (part pictured in image 1) by Peter Davis was added to Bury Art Museum’s permanent collection, after receiving First Prize in our OPEN 2025/26 exhibition.
